AAH History

Founded in 1998 , AAH works to promote the greater acceptance of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy throughout the world. Today, AAH offers multi level workshops, certification, and networking opportunities, which can enhance both one's professional and personal life.

AAH members are required to take a minimum of 100-hours of Hypnosis/Hypnotherapy Education and earn 15 continuing hours of education each year to maintain their Certified Hypnotherapist status.

AAH members come from a wide range of occupations and backgrounds and may use hypnotherapy as an adjunct to their existing healing modality. Amongst AAH members are professional psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, dentists, marriage counselors and family therapists, mental health counselors, doctors and nurses, as well as teachers, addiction counselors, ministers of religion and a wide array of therapists. As an interdisciplinary organization, AAH provides an opportunity to learn from and interact with colleagues in diverse holistic health care disciplines. This allows for a cross fertilization of ideas and applications which blend neatly with current trends, such as the increasing interest in the health of mind-body- spirit and spiritual growth generally.

AAH was established with one goal in mind: to bring Hypnosis to a higher level than ever before by setting and maintaining a very high level of international standards and ethical practices. We aim to be the number one organization for competent and professional Hypnotists/Hypnotherapists from around the world.
